If your loved one has died in hospital or aged care facility, notify them of the name of funeral director you have chosen.
If your loved one has died at home:
If the death was sudden or unexpected, with no doctor involved, you must call the police.
If the deceased has been recently under the care of a doctor, contact them for their instructions.
At this time, you may phone our funeral director to arrange for your loved one to be taken into our care.
In your first phone call to our funeral director, we will may ask you for some information:
The deceased person’s name, date of death and location.
Your name and contact details and your relationship to the deceased person.
Additional contact details for any next of kin.
Once our funeral director has been informed, we will meet with you, either at our office in Raymond Terrace or at your home, to arrange the funeral.
When you meet with our funeral director, we’ll ask the following questions:
Full name of the deceased person, their date and place of birth and other personal details.
Their father’s and mother’s full names, including names at birth and occupations.
Marriage details including all marriage details, spouse’s name/s, marriage date/s and location/s.
Children’s name/s and dates of birth (if applicable).

Lance Boots Funerals will conduct a funeral service and interment or cremation in the location and venue of your choice. We can arrange funerals in our chapel in Raymond Terrace, in your family’s church, as well as other locations both locally and further afield.
Lance Boots Funerals has a funeral chapel and reception area at Raymond Terrace, which can accommodate up to 80 people.
The chapel is non-denominational, which means that funeral services can be conducted by civil celebrants or leaders of any religion. In addition to all the funeral requirements, our staff can organise any catering you may need after the service.
Funerals don’t have to be generic. You can choose for it to be as personal as you wish. Here are a few ideas:
When you have decided on the funeral arrangements, we will take your loved one into our care.
We will arrange transport from their place of death to our facilities in Raymond Terrace. We can also arrange transport if they have died far away; regionally, Nationally or overseas.
We prepare your loved one for their funeral and final resting place. Your loved one will be dressed as directed by the family, including cosmetics and styling if requested, then placed into the coffin or casket.
Before the funeral service, your family may wish to have a viewing to say their final goodbyes. Personal tributes are welcome; family members and guests may wish to place items such as letters and photos on the coffin in memory of your loved one.
